Sono, da molti anni, giornalista in Italia (dove ho scritto per L’Espresso, la Repubblica, Il Sole 24 ore, e Diario della settimana) e, più recentemente, ho ripreso anche a disegnare ritratti immaginari. Esposti, fra l’altro, al Padiglione-Italia di Torino (gennaio-febbraio 2012), nell’ambito delle manifestazioni della Biennale di Venezia.
La costruzione di un sito che presentasse, affiancate, attività cosi’diverse, era particolarmente complessa: si trattava, fra l’altro, di informare e di far vedere come quei due mezzi espressivi – e quindi quelle due professioni – fossero, per certi versi, complementari. Elena Vimercati – che conosco da sempre per le sue grandi, e riconosciute, capacità professionali e la sua esperienza – ha realizzato questo sito (andreajacchia.com) con un gusto e una scorrevolezza del tutto rare, e originali. L’apertura (bio e homepage, introdotte da una bellissima foto di Maria Cristina Vimercati, e dal particolare di un mio disegno), il catalogo di 30 disegni scelti, la “scrivania” con diversi articoli e racconti pubblicati (alcuni con doppia traduzione in francese e inglese), formano un insieme di immediata forza visiva, oltre che molto maneggevole. Elena Vimercati ha avuto, in sintesi, un’ “idea” complessiva e molte idee conseguenti. Il loro perfezionamento, incrociato a un impegno sul progetto lungo due mesi, ha prodotto un risultato che è andato oltre le mie aspettative. Di giornalista e disegnatore incerto su come presentarsi doppio e complementare.
